“It’s choice – not chance – that determines your destiny.” – Jean Nidetch, Weight Watchers
“Quite by chance“
How often have we heard that said? many many times I suppose, and we’ve probably said it more times than we can remember. Usually it’s a remark made quite lightheartedly or even flippantly even without too much thought attached to it, well it’s a phrase that we’re all well used to.
The little quote ;
“It’s choice – not chance – that determines your destiny.” Is not a negative idiom by any stretch of the imagination.
But do you think it’s maybe chances that dictate our choices?
The unusual chance of meeting someone you have’nt seen for years, decision being do you continue to keep up the never bother again etc etc. the choice is yours
The horrible situation by unfortunate chance where you inadvertently “put your foot in it”. What is your decision then? Dig yourself deeper in to a hole or just carry on talking as if nothing untoward has been said or just apologise, but that’s your choice.
Chances confront you at any given time some good some bad then we make our choices
Its chances and opportunities presented that prompt our choices whether they be good, bad or indifferent, but they are Our Choices and the decisions we make are based on the chances presented to us when we least expect them.
